USPS nightmare.......with happy ending!
So I buy cards from time to time using COMC.com. I had a few cards ready to ship so I requested shipping. The cards I requested are all personal cards that I collect. A few were multi-colored legendary legends, a multi-colored 98-99 UD game jersey, and best of all the very rare 02-03 Fleer throwbacks Tony Twist TIE-DOWN! MULTI-COLORED!!!
After a week I started to get nervous. Checked the tracking and it said it went to dead mail! What the hell does that mean! I contacted the post office and was told that the package was either destroyed, or the contents were missing from the box, or the address got damaged. I felt sick. They made it seem like it was COMC fault. They couldn't give me anymore info, and when I contacted COMC's they really were no help either. They blamed USPS. I told a lady exactly what cards were missing and she said if they show up, I'll get a call. I also filled out a form to be sent to dead mail recovery in Atlanta GA. They said anything recovered would be sent there. I just don't understand how it was scanned at the post office, which had my info, yet no one called me about it. I had to initiate everything.
I just figured the cards were gone. A couple weeks go by and I get a phone call. It was the lady from the local post office. She said she found three of the 7 cards. I told her there's only one card I really care about, the st. louis blues Tony Twist card. She kinda sighed, so I think damn. She goes on to tell me the three cards butchering the names. Andrei Nazarov and Brad Brown, Jarri Kurri, and hey it's the Tony Twist card. YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! I don't know if she was messing with me before, but she had me believe that the Twist card was not the one she found. It was shipped to me Priority and it is now in my possession. It would be nice to get the other four cards but I'm still happy.

Seems like the USPS has been screwing up lately. Not sure what's going on but I know it doesn't take 2-3 weeks for FC mail to get from Texas to NY or to Cali but yet they raise postage it seems every year. Glad to hear you got half your cards at least.
