Thank you for the kind comments on the Richard card, it is a beauty.
What bothers me about this thread is that one member admits faking patches and another member posts that he would be interested in having the first member fake some patches for him.
Promoting patch faking in this thread. Unless I read these posts incorrectly, this is something that should not be tolerated.

I don't see a problem with it as long as these cards don't end up being circulated. Doing it for fun and keeping them to yourself, which is what I'm pretty sure they are doing, seems fine to me.

Slippery slope don't you think?
Card that might be in someone's collection one day could be on eBay sometime in the future.
It is the same as counterfeiting $100 bills and keeping them in your collection.
Just my opinion but I still think it is a dangerous concept.

I'm not sure that replicating $100 bills is the same thing. Why would anyone keep fake money that all looks the same in any collection? Lol but I understand what your saying. I would like to think that the members that were discussing it would act in good faith and keep them to themselves. Currently they are taking unattractive cards and making them more appealing from themselves. Until it goes farther than that....

It's called ownership and permission, trade and service mark infringement. If you have not had the experience putting out corporate fires due to these types of infringements, then you would not question their legality.
It's all about legality. If you try to profit from the ownership of trade and or service marks to other in a deleterious manner without legal permission, then you are breaking the law. You cannot even take video of an NHL game and show it privately without permission, why on Earth should you be allowed to replicate merchandise that is owned and controlled by others without the same rules?
You cannot go around using other's property willy-nilly because you think it's cool. You cannot show a likeness of another human being without their signed, expressed written permission. Why is this so difficult for you?Last edited by centrehice; 06-08-2014 at 01:10 PM.

So difficult? You should watch your tone a bit there bud. I make one post and it's so difficult to understand something that wasn't even said? I'm not a lawyer. I don't give a crap what other people want to do to their cards. Like I said, as long as they stay in the possession of the people manipulating them then I don't see a problem.

Not saying it's the best, but I loved this. I owned this once upon a time, but had to move it for cash back then.
