Panini question, where do the autos go
I was just watching some of their rookie showcase vines and realized guys like Matt puempel, Ty Rattie and danny Kristo haven't played or haven't played enough games to warrant a rookie card. What does panini do with all their sticker autos seeing as they wont be making NHL cards next year. I sure there is a bunch more players that have also signed but haven't played.

It's just an assumption, that they have rooms full of stickers that are signed.

Save them in case they ever get their license back would be my guess. Or of course Panini could still make hockey products, they'd just have to go the ITG route and not include logos or team names and make an unlicensed hockey set. Panini isn't going to just throw away their Jersey and Memorabilia pieces nor their stickers they've accumulated so saving or going unlicensed is their only options.

Perhaps we would be interested in some of their stickers, you never know.
But we would not be interested in their event worn or photo shoot memorabilia.
It will be interesting to see what Panini does.
2014-15 is going to be an interesting year in the hockey card hobby.

This is probably true for Panini as it is with other companies. In baseball when Upper Deck lost their license and Topps was the only game in town Upper Deck dumped their stickers autographs in products and they had guys who passed away in 2005 in the product.
Fleer who went out of business years ago sold off sheets and sheets of sticker autographs. The worst part about this was because they went out of business they didn't have to fulfill the redemptions so collectors got screwed. Somebody bought the sheets at auctions for pennies on the dollars which I'm assuming they moved to another card company and made a hefty profit.Selling all my cards here updated as of July------------> Hidden Content

The labels have the Panini logo superimposed on them do they not? Would you use labels with the Panini logo on them?

With what I've heard about the last handful of releases, expect to see some serious autograph "bonus" content coming out. They're going to be on a bonanza to clear out as much as possible. After that, who knows for sure.
I suspect that they may be able to sell the game-used inventory to one of the other companies. I don't think there's much of a market for fragments of a jersey beyond that.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I was at the Fleer auction and I recall Mike Phillips of Upper Deck buying most of the autograph sheets.
I bought that large Fleer safe and still have it today.
