How should you get Team Yearbooks signed?

I notice people get players to sign the page with their profile in the book and not the cover is this the general rule of thumb?

That is how I typically do it. I only have players sign the front if they do not have a page in the book.

I always thought it was silly to get the players to sign their profile. To display the signature you would have to pull it out of the book and even if you went to turn it into a cut many times you would destroy a signature on the opposite side of the page. I seriously would take a blank index card over a program page!
