Steel City ship time

I wanted to know what peoples experiences were ordering from steel city. If I ordered a box of Contenders that released today would they ship it same day? I'm goin out of town and wanted it on Saturday or before. I also didn't want to spend all that extra cash on expedited shipping. I'm in NJ so if they shipped it today I'd probably get it on Saturday I guessing.

They typically ship same day, that has always been my experience. You may need to specify a Saturday delivery with them, though, as everything I've gotten from them has gone UPS which does not normally ship on Saturday. If you order today and it ships, I'd be surprised if you didn't get it on Friday by UPS ground. I'm not sure if Steel City has the map on their site, but you should be able to enter the info in the UPS site and determine the expected delivery time.

I usually stay away from them because I live 1 hour outside of Pittsburgh and 13% sales tax sucks. I have never pre-ordered anything from them so I cant help you. I have ordered from them before and they ship same day and I get it the next day (because of my location).

I did not pre-order. I'd be buying today. They have boxes for $98 which seems like a good price. $99 for free shipping so i'll probably tack something else on if I do order haha.

If I was in your boat I'd avoid them too. 13% tax. Ouch.

Steel city is my favorite. Russ is who I talk to on boxes there. They will ship UPS ground so you would most likely get it on monday of next week.

I usually order from DA because of that tax for PA residents. I get my packages in 2 days from DA. I guess if you order now from Steel City and they get it shipped out today you will have it on Friday.

Took the plunge and ordered a box of Contenders. Also a 11-12 UD 2 Blaster. Couldn't resist 12 packs for $9. That will be the appetizer. Also added 2 day USPS shipping to make sure I get it by or on Saturday.

I will add that I don't often break because I'm saving up for a house and an engagement ring simultaneously so this is a treat for me, but when I do break I usually don't pull the mega hits so I'm tempering my expectations ;)

LOL! I order online from Steel City instead of Dave & Adams because of the NYS sales tax (8.75%... 13%? I thought ours was bad!). But, if the price is comparable, I will just swing by one of the stores and buy in person; the sales tax becomes a convenience tax then. I still like Blowout, but Pitt is closer, so I get my stuff quicker.

And I usually get my Steel City orders within two days of placing my order, if it's during the day.
