Miami's big three opt out.
Chris and Dwayne have joined Lebron in opting out of there last two years. Thanks guys.
This places Pat squarely in the hot seat to come up with a plan to get Miami back to the pinnacle of the NBA.
And a good job he is doing, Sharbazz was a nice pickup.
I would love to see Bosh moved to full time power forward and Pat sign a solid centre. Let's be honest, Bosh isn't a great centre, he lacks both height and power to compete with the true galiaths around the league.

So does this increase or decrease the chances that the big 3 come back to the Heat?

Kyle Lowry has reportedly been dealt to Miami for Norris Cole, some cash and future draft picks. Bit of a one sided deal if you ask me. We will miss Norris, but Kyle is an upgrade.

I believe Wade will be back regardless, Bosh has played well enough to be kept. But if they traded Bosh, I wouldn't completely surprised.
If they trade Bosh, you need to trade for a centre or a power forward, which Bosh is. The only issue would be if Bosh now feels it's time to chase money.

That was a rip-off tbh. So the Raptors, after a very good year, strengthen a conference opponent by giving them their best player while getting a toss-away who will eventually disappear from the league? I still don't get why teams in the same conference are making deals with a team they compete directly against?
The opt'ing out was to be expected. Haslem too, who doesn't get enough credit for taking less. They basically threatened Bosh by leaking the Toronto deal involving him. You know he doesn't want to go back.... Nor does he want to be on his own because of the drop off.
Meanwhile, the Spurs' tweak will be Austin Daye or somebody that falls through the cracks......plus they have 9 mill in cap space. This is where history will be kind to this franchise. They build.

Bosh hasn't opted out yet.....no sign and trade deal has been done involving Lowry yet......don't believe all rumours. If we were to believe rumours, Lebron wants a max contract and Bosh is going back to Toronto.

Lowry's agent is claiming its a done deal.
Bosh is said to be mulling it over, if he doesn't opt out, he will be traded. He can not be the highest paid player in Miami.

Just read that Heat have Kendrick Perkins penciled in on their plan B or C. I like this option, he would be a nice fit. Although they would need to trade for him, as he is under contract.
Chandler Parsons also has his name in the mix, not sure this guy has a win at all costs attitude, but great player.
Pau is considering $4 m a year at New York, surely Pat Riley can offer him more, please ?

My Heat, resign Lebron, Dewyane, Chris, Chris, Undonis and Ray.
Sharbazz is a keeper, and trade Norris for Lowry.
Make Chandler the offer, I am concerned about his attitude, but he has talents.
Talk to Marcin, Pau and Jermaine. My pick here is now Marcin, just a slightly tougher player than Pau, and a bigger threat offensively than Jermaine. But if the option for two was there, it would have to include Jermaine, purely a cap space exercise.
Certainly not impossible.
Gives you a bench of Chris, Undonis, Ray, Sharbazz, Chandler and Jermaine.
Yes, Im a dreamer.

Starters would clearly be Lebron, Wade, Marcin, Chris and Lowry.
But I would run Wade on a 2-1 roster, two weeks on one off. On his week off I would bring Chandler to the starters.
