    Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau and a 5th round pick in 2015 from the Colorado Avalanche, in return for forward Briere.

    Looks like Gionta won't be needed anymore.

    They still need another top-six forward. Parenteau will hopefully be good for 20-25 but this team's biggest problem this past season was scoring. Hopefully the $5.5M for Gionta gets allocated to someone younger, with two functional biceps.
