I have not read one excuse comment by any Flyer fan, or any other comments hurled at Crosby in the last 24 hours by Flyer fans.

When I saw this on Bleacher Report, I began to scour other Sports sources (all within Canada), to see what truth there was to the story. Now, I am a Hockey guy, with no affiliation to either the Flyers or the Penguins. The only words spoken, were by Ron Hextall, Flyers GM, that stated that the organization was not about to make a public statement until all the facts were in, or if Giroux had been formally charged.

To my knowledge, a criminal charge has not been levied as yet.

Honestly I think its really funny and I really could care less about it. He will get a slap on the wrist and it will be done with. I bet at some of his rival cities he visits this year he will be seeing some funny signs and maybe chants about this incident. I can bet that there will probally be soemthing here in Pittsburgh when he visits.

Ottawa police won't be pressing any charges, they pretty much just threw him in the drunk tank for the night.

I've heard a handful of stories from people who have known Giroux locally, and from what they've said, this kind of thing wouldn't really be out of character. Arrogance, poor attitude, whatever you want to call it.

I should have been more clear. Living just outside of the Philly area and a huge Pens, I've heard the Pens/ Crosby being called plenty of names. Heck I've had objects thrown at and screamed at by Flyers fans my whole life. My wife was belittled at the age of 10 for wearing a a Federov Red Wings jersey.

Any chance that something of this stature happens, I'm going to jump all over the Flyers fans I know. Most were making excuses or not acknowledging the incident.

Yes we are. Free agency has died down and we all got together and decided this would become a internet wide objective no matter what the topic. Neymar missed a scoring opportunity? Crosby would of had it. Jeter is dating Katy Perry? Malkin is dating Kornakova. Who makes the best quiche topic? Mike Johnston's wife obviously. Get on board or get run over.
