    Best Sets for RC Completion?

since 2004, ive been trying to complete the Playoff Prestige RC set - with 2004 and 2005 I have about 75% of each set complete and for 2006 I have just ordered 3 hobby boxes to get me started. I figured that they have a decent value for being one RC per pack and also the SP cards are worth some. Anyone else have a set that they try to collect every year? I might switch it up come 2007 to collect a different set, but RC's that are #ed or have autos or jerseys, might be a bit too pricy for me to keep up with. Thanks for any input.

I would go with something like bowman chrome. When stars emerge...those cards rocket in value. Isn't roethlisberger's RC worth like $70? It's crazy. Then there are like 25 AU rookies in the set too. So it doesn't get too boring :D

Bowman and Topps are both great for RC's. To do it fairly cheaply and still get a lot of rookies I think the regular Bowman set is the best. I think the Bowman Chrome is a great set, but much more pricey to put the entire set together. The BEST RC set of all is Playoff Contenders in my opinion. Each RC is autographed. What a set!

It just depends on how much money you want to spend.

The Prestige is OK, but all players are in College Uniform and it does not appreciate much in value. The other bad thing about the Prestige is that it comes out so early. There will be some rookies that do not make it in that set that prove themselves throughout the yeat and will make it into the Bowman and Topps set.
