Got a TTM UNsuccessful return today in the mail, but also got a very cool In Person success, so still a good day....
TTM - I lost my 2nd Peyton Manning lotto try. I sent one of my "Manning" family photos signed all ready by Eli, hoping it would get someone to get him to sign my picture, and it didnt work. Got the usual pre-print garbage photo back, with my picture not signed by Peyton.....
In Person - "Weird AL" Yankovic - 8x12 photo & Baseball
Got him going into venue for his show tonight. He couldn't have been a nicer guy.

Got these back on Friday (TTM) -
1 nice return, and 1 stamped return.....
The good return-
Jordy Nelson (8x12) -
One of the best WRs in the game, and he is still taking time each year to continue signing & returning his fan mail. -

Now onto the stamped return-
Marcus Marriota (2) 8x10s -
Sent these to him at Univ. of Oregon back in November rright after he sent back a bunch of returns. When I opened the mailer up I was excited to see these pics as I never thought I'd see them returned at this point. But then I look at the so called autograph I got on both, and it is a garbage looking stamped autograph-

The autograph hobby is gonna die quicker and quicker with more of these young guys stamping, refusing to sign IP, and what not. Guys in this year's MLB draft class are refusing to sign in Rookie A ball, or if they do they will personalize a baseball, and side panel it. Rookies right out of the draft shouldne be like that. Now I understand Marriota can't be compared to a MLD draft pick, as a Heisman winning NFL rookie QB is a star right away, but come on.... stamping? Many top veteran NFL Players sign their fan mail still. I would rather not get the pictures back at all if they are gonna look like garbage with a stamped signature......

Got a TTM return yesterday.....
Bucky Dent - w/ 78 WS MVP inscription on a 1978 World Series logo Baseball

Real happy how this one turned out. Love getting WS & AS MVPs on the logo balls. Problem is finding the players who I can get without paying a arm & a leg for, and also getting the logo balls at a good price, as some years cost much more money then other years.

Last night the Staten Island Yankees had Game Of Thrones night. George RR Martin made a appearance at the game. He signed for the general public, but only for the first 400 people that lined up. People starting lining up 10am for a 7pm game. He only did 1 per for the 400 people in the public signing.
Well I won 2 tickets that included a special Meet & Greet with Mr. Martin, and my wife & I came back with a nice haul for my collection-
He is a known NY Mets fan, and he wasnt going to do a promotion with the SI Yankees, but they changed the name of the team for the night to a themed name of the SI Direwolves. Here is a baseball signed, and he added my requested inscription of "Lets Go Mets" -

Got this 11x14 picture signed-

Got this 8x12 picture signed-

They gave away a SI Direwolves hat and 2 soft cover GRRM books.
I got 1 of each of the soft cover books signed by him as well-

Got a nice picture with him as well-

It was pretty awesome to get all this stuff signed inside where is was Air Conditioned, and still be in my seats with everything signed for the game.

Thank You.
I saw he does some TTM. If I didn't win the Meet & Greet tix, I was actually leaning towards skipping the game & trying my luck sending 2 pics to him to have signed, as I wasn't sure I wanted to get there early enough to be one of the first 400 people.
I have seen a lot of bookplate returns as of late though, so not sure if he still signs items sent or just sends pre-signed authentic book plates out. I know a while back he seemed to sign items sent.

Got 2 TTM returns today-
Tony LaRussa & Ed Asner
Happy to have LaRussa complete 2 pics for me, or as complete as it can get with Zimmer not around anymore. But very disappointed that he didn't add the HOF inscription on the Lasorda pic. And can he sign any smaller??? I included a 10.00 donation thinking that was good enough to get the inscription, but I guess not.....

Ed Asner only signed 1 of 2 I sent, but signed the one he did sign twice?? Maybe he missed 2nd photo as I seen returns back from him with more then one signed.

Always happy to get ttms back, but was a little bummed as well when opening both.

Very happy with my mail today (TTM)-
Raymond Berry NFL HOFer
And
Bob Baffert
I sent Raymond Berry 2 pics and requested any combo of inscriptions he was willing to add. He sends back my 2 photos with all inscriptions, a full page letter responding to my letter, and 4 more assorted sized signed photos. Old timers are the best.
My 2 pics sent-

Mr. Berry sent these extras-

Bob Baffert w/ both requested inscriptions-

Very happy to get Bob Baffert on 2 pics with those inscriptions.

That Raymond Berry is awesome, great return. Pretty cool to get Baffert as well. Did you print the SI cover or did Adorama accept it?
