Should be 9 (OC) or a counterfeit label. Anyone do a scan check?

Or one of those sells who's in bed with psa.

This is a new PSA label and they are hard enough to break into to get a card out, much less put back together. And if someone has an in at PSA that can pull big grades, this is not the card or condition they are going to pull a favour on. There are graded vintage cards that jump by thousands for each grade higher and if any funny stuff is going on it's not with an 81 Moose.

This one was just a mech error or a grader asleep at the wheel, nothing more, nothing less.

Does not look to be any kind of error, they actually graded it that way. Total garbage, but it is according to them, this from there site:

I would assume it's a 9 because it was part of a large batch the guy who owned the cards sent in?? My understanding was that the more you get graded, the better the grades typically are.

Sometimes, and sometimes not. I have submitted big orders and gotten lousy grades and submitted big orders and got solid grades. The card is probably mis-labeled. If the buyer was so inclined they could send it back to PSA and get their money back and have it put in a proper holder.

I was told by an employee from Heritage Auctions that I should let them send in my cards because they will get a better grade because of the volume they submit. I did, and the cards came back in my opinion 2 grades higher than they should have. Heritage then auctioned them and I got a couple thousand more than I would have grading them myself and selling them on the bay. What that tells me is that grading is a joke.

I do remember reading about an Auction house advertising better PSA grades as long as you subbed and consigned through them. Not cool at all and really does make you wonder. That said, the real fools are the guys that buy strictly based on the grade. There are tons of beauty cards in lower grade slabs that can be had for great prices. I buy mid grade PSA cards that look better than the grade all the time.

Can you link to the a few of the cards that sold via Heritage? Interested in seeing how bad the grades are.
