I'm not trolling...Most people feel the same...

Just being honest, I actually liked 12-13 ultimate and thought rookie design was great and collecting that set despite weak class.

KingKuba your perception is your reality but PLEASE do not start speaking for most people. Your threads and comments are reminding me of another member who is no longer on the forum.

From what I've seen all I hear and see is complaint, after complaint, after complaint. This doesn't give enough value, too many this, too many that, 1$ patch, 1$ jersey, redemption this, redemption that.
If all there is to do is complain then STEP AWAY from this hobby. Take a break, find another hobby. The hobby doesn't need this type of negativity

This should be priced the same as luxury suite from a couple years ago seems to be the same kinda value coming outta the packs. Yes it's not a way to invest but when u spend 100 bucks on one single pack you would think you could get something have decent

You wrote eight times with very few replies, in my opinion it's trolling.

IMO (and it is a valuable one, no doubt
), Ultimate is not a very good product value wise. It will probably settle into the $75-85 range for boxes once the dust settles and still be a crap shot (just like the 11/12 version).
But for anyone to be surprised by this, you had it coming. Ultimate has lost its luster over the past few years. Rather than come up with novel content, its the same Legends, Ultimate Dual Jersey Autos and Rookie /99. Like it or not, we are expecting more because Panini brought more to the table.

Can someone explain Ultimate Collection to me?
$100 for 4 cards, one of which is a base to 499.
Some nice patches are coming out of this product, but $33 on average? Nope.
Those that hit a MacKinnon, ok, you're good.
Gretzky auto, yeah.
What else is in this product that would bring you close?
Maybe a RPA to 25.
I'm gonna take my money and buy the few cards I want on eBay.

Well, you can say that about every product to some degree, yes? No? My box of Prime sure wasn't "worth" $250 and yes I regret throwing away the money, but.......what if I'd hit something huge?
Almost nothing is "worth" what you pay for it these days, sad to say. From OPC & MVP to Ultimate & The Cup, chances are you're gonna get burned 8 or 9 times out of 10. But SOMEONE'S gotta open this stuff up if you want to buy the singles off eBay hahahaaa.
That said, I won't be buying any Ultimate myself :)

I think the question you really need to be asking is ....... Can someone explain this hobby to me?
All these people that complain about resale value ..... must come from imagination land ..... where everyone owns a Cup Crosby RC /99 and BGS 10 Gretzky OPC rookie. Of course, somehow as well, their cards are still worth top dollar, despite everyone already owning them

We don't really need three separate threads ripping on Ultimate, so have at in here, folks.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...
