    Why I hate sticker autos...

Just pick 4 different premium Fleer Gary Payton cards and make your own 1/1 buyback. Don't put the sticker upside down...

But these are cut autos though right???

I remember when people would hammer card companies for not centering cut autos.... Turns out the players can't follow instructions

Precisely, they aren't stickers at all. And it wasn't always the players fault. Fleer inserted/assembled them wrong many a time. Case in point :

It's another example of how the surplus inventory just sort of makes its way onto the secondary market. It calls into question their quality assurance and security. There was no destruction plan in place when the company went bankrupt, and I'm curious if Upper Deck had any knowledge of the missing inventory when Fleer became a subsidiary. On a bigger scale, it makes me wonder about the entire industry with this stuff. The companies sign contracts for hundreds or thousands of these autographs at a time, but there is little transparency in the process, verification, and storage of the stickers and sheets. UDA has a good system in place with their 5-step process, but I speculate that it's expensive to do this with cards.

I think when you're folding and in bankruptcy, any way to recover funds becomes an option worth exploring.
