    My National Treasures Draft Order

Well, I haven't shared one of these for a while, since it ultimately comes down to my subjective valuation of a team's "hit quality" applied against the actual number of hits, but since this is Panini's final release for the foreseeable future, I figured I'd put it up. In short, I remove the base cards, sort by team, extrapolate print runs where none are given, sum the "hits" and multiply by a factor to allow for subjective difference in hit quality; in this case, the range was from 20 (Colorado) down to 4 (Phoenix). I then apply this weighted number against the cost of a case to figure out how much I "should" be paying for a team in a group case break. The list also serves as a Draft Order. Hopefully some will find this helpful:

(Team, Total Hits, % of hits)

    Montreal Canadiens 6270 5.55
    Colorado Avalanche 4848 4.29
    Detroit Red Wings 5464 4.84

    New York Rangers 4518 4.00
    Toronto Maple Leafs 4507 3.99
    Los Angeles Kings 5442 4.82
    Philadelphia Flyers 4970 4.40
    Edmonton Oilers 3993 3.54
    Chicago Blackhawks 3737 3.31
    Anaheim Ducks 4189 3.71
    New Jersey Devils 3669 3.25
    Washington Capitals 3613 3.20
    Dallas Stars 5020 4.45
    Nashville Predators 4000 3.54

Thanks! Yeah, I bought the Devils in two cases, one at $50 and another at $35. I knew $50 was a touch high but didn't want to miss out on the break...I have them valued at $51 as a "fair" case break price, which I usually try to beat by 10% to feel like I got a "deal" LOL!

Snooze ya lose! Besides, I was shut out of Devils on my case from SCC. Bah! Got a Brodeur (sticker) auto and a nice Crazy Eights with Merrill from Breakaway last night, though!

Got in on one case break tonight. Got a Merrill timeline and a Henrique auto /99 with jersey, patch and glove (not sure what the subset is). Might not have gotten my 50 back but no complaints at all from me.

Handy reference guide for sure! So many great-looking Habs cards in this set, can't say I'm remotely surprised that they go #1. LOL

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

They sure are loaded up in this product! Seeing some of the early returns on MacKinnon, though, I think he blows the doors off of any ranking system and pushes Colorado to #1 if you get a chance to pick them. I severely underestimated what people are willing to pay for him, apparently.

Great list Paul. I'm sure it will come in handy for many.

And like other members have said, the Devils hit pretty often. I just snagged one of the Brodeur Frozen Treasures Auto Patch /5 from one of my customers.
