I might start making my first AUTO set!!

i am thinking about making a 2006 topps draft Picks & Prospects Class Marks Auto Set. Do you think, I should go for it, or not. How much do you think the set will cost. I dont want to pay a lot for these but i know i will have to for some of them.

I tried doing that with the 2005 Class Marks Autos and got about 10 of them or so, but didnt get Braylon Edwards, Carnell Williams, Aaron Rodgers and Cedric Benson as these were going high on ebay. Now those 4 alone are worth at least $100 each. Im not even sure if Im going to finish trying to get the complete Auto set because of this reason alone. It will be fun getting the auto's and they will look nice, but it could get pricey, especially for the top stars.

there are actually 44 of them this year... the topps checklist doesnt include them all, but on beckett in my collections there are 44 of them. If i can get all the no name guys really cheap, i will try to do the set.

wow, in 2005, there were only 24 autos. Its a good idea though. For instance, I got the Marion Barber Auto early on when nobody knew who he was, and after last season, his auto is worth $30 now. Not huge, but when you win it on ebay for less than half that, it makes it worthwhile.

Good luck, you have a real strong rookie class this year. Let's name the top rookies that you better have deep pockets for,

    High
    Reggie Bush
    Matt Leinhart
    Vince Young
    A.J. Hawk
    Jay Cutler

    Mid
    Laurence Maroney
    Michael Huff
    LenDale White
    Omar Jacobs
    Cedric Humes
    Santonio Holmes
D.J. Shockley (Matt Schaubs' replacement once he leaves for greener pastures, maybe the K.C. Chiefs.)

Not sure if all these are on the list but they should be.

I think you should go for it.

I enjoy trying to put together a tough set like that. It just takes time, patience and some detective work on your part. You will feel extremely satisfied at the end!

i have three on ebay for sale right now. they won't go for too much since they're not the big boys. but they are Jeremy Bloom, Chad Jackson, and Jason Avant. Also have a Reggie McNeal and a Travis Wilson #'d/50 that I haven't put up yet.

I am not going to make the set. I dont have the time to look on eBay and such for all the cards. I bought one on eBay for like $2.00 DLVD and i will just resell it. The other ones will be on eBay shortly!
