    Question about deflated footballs

Well, I got a really old duke football for basically nothing recently. I want to send it out to Starr to get some ink on it. The issue with the ball is the bladder inside is bad. Which is fine with me. You can certainly tell that the ball was loved, and I like the used look. Looks more authentic to me.

Now my question is,if I pop the plug and just throw a can of that foam in a can, just enough to fill the ball, think that would work for display purposes? I really want to give it a shot especially since the ball cost next to nothing, but wonder if there are any other suggestions other than replacing the bladder. I don't trust myself with the laces, and it would cost more to replace the bladder than I paid for the thing. Not like I'll be throwing it around the yard.

    Thoughts?
