Leaf/Donruss 88 Rated Rookie Alomar are the same?

Hey so I got a free pack of Leaf 88 and inside I got a "Rated Rookie" card of Roberto Alomar. I looked online and noticed that Donruss made the same card is one better than the rest or fake?

Leaf and Donruss were made by the same company I believe (same designs in same years). Leaf did produce baseball cards in 1988 and they did have Rated Rookies. There isn't much difference in price, neither are worth too much.

Donruss was for the USA and Leaf was for Canada. The cards had same design. Just like 70s and 80s Topps & O-Pee-Chee Baseball & hockey.

I believe the first true USA release of Leaf was 1990, which at one time was a hugely popular set made to go against Upper Deck at the time as the higher end sports card.
