    To be fair in Sweet Spot baseball that year the material they used destroyed almost all of the autographs. It was so bad that they offered replacements before they lost their baseball license. You can find unopened boxes and open them and the autographs will basically be faded all away. They cheapened out with the baseball sweet spot material that year and they and collectors paid dearly for it. After that they used something else but that year is AWFUL for the autographs. If you have one that doesn't look faded you can consider yourself very lucky.

    Seems as though that's what happened based on the description. Quality control from these card companies still never cease to amaze me. You'd think they'd do tests on materials that would be best to sign on.

    I concur. Do you remember the Durant RC autos on a piece of "basketball" from 07'08 Sweet Shot? They were all made off centering Durant's signature on the card, making some if not most of his signature hidden. At least I don't recall ever seeing any that didn't have a hidden autograph for his card that year. Just "turrable" as Sir Charles would say.
