Looking for an opinion

Hey all -

I can't even remember the last time I opened a pack or box lately and am looking to buy something from the last few years for less than $100. Since I've been out of the box busting scene for a while I'm a little lost as to where I can get the best "bang for my buck".

I've been considering 13/14 Fleer Retro which is just less than $100. I'm not really into the whole 'one pack per box, 3 cards per pack' type of deal - just too much of a gamble for me, and I may be into trying to finish the set once the break is complete. Who knows.

Anyway - budget is $100 and I'd be willing to go multiple boxes if there are any decent deals out there, and looking as far back as maybe 11/12.

Any suggestions? Am I on the right track with Fleer Retro? Opinions welcome!

You can get some good stuff in Retro, but the college unis are a big turn-off for me.

I like Prizm the best of Panini's more affordable products. Tons of people collect it, you can get some autos and nice-looking low # parallels, and you get rookies in their pro unis.

I also like the older-school Past & Present sets, but they're a little lower-end and don't have the popularity of Prizm.

Looks like I can find the most recent Prizm for about $70- good deal! Looks good to me - anyone else have any thoughts?

Thanks guys - made my purchase today. Got a 13-14 Prizm box coming in and some cheapo retail stuff to round out the rest of my purchase to maybe try to complete a set there.

Will do - I've always been big on live breaks so I'll probably post how it's going. I think they should be here next Wed or so so we'll see.
