    Cracking PSA slabs

    Hey all

Have enough experience with BGS slabs, but acquired my 1st PSA slab i want to bust open.

    Any tips?

The slab is quite different from BGS, and I'm scared my BGS technique won't work.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks in advance

It's very easy. Take a pair of pliers, snap off the corners. Once you've got them all, work over one of the top corners a little more and you should eventually be able to just pull the slab apart.

Thanks for the video link ... I usually put the slab in a bench vise grip in the shed for extra security.

I used to use the vice grip as well but was always scared that the card would fall on the floor.

Lol, sorry I guess I should have been clearer. I only use the vise to hold the card until the initial snip ... once I get the screwdriver out I lay the slab on a clean surface on gently turn it until the top starts to separate from the back half.

However you choose to do it, patience and caution is the key.
