    Displaying your Collection

Hi everyone. I wanted to know how you all display your collections? I just keep my cards in a box and look through them form time to time, they all have the normal sleeve and top loader/one touch but they just sit there waiting to be enjoyed. Do you have a display case or shelf? Is there a danger in having your cards exposed to light all the time?

I'm also curious as to some ideas of displaying ones collection. I've recently been thinking of making a customized frame to hold approx. 12 one touches. There's a good chunk of coin in these boxes and its a shame to have them stuffed in a closet haha. As for the light, I wouldn't put them in direct sunlight, but they shouldn't be affected by lower light sources. As well, I believe one touch cases have some UV protection as well.

Direct sunlight fades the cards, especially autographs. You need to have them protected.

I keep my blinds closed in my room when the sun shines in to keep from sunlight hitting the cards. I will take a few pictures if no one else does later on

I have gone back and forth on this exact topic several times. I like the ease of moving cards around using soft sleeves/top loaders in boxes, but not ideal for "displaying" your collection. I was at one of the LCS in my area and the owner told me about an idea that he has seen some people do (See pic below). The 4 sleeve binder pages and using them with either of the "Top Loaders" for added protection.

I am curious to see others idea's as well.

I keep the cards in my collection in binders. I have the binders labelled and put on a shelf. The cards themselves are just in pages. I have 2 exceptions to this.
    1. 2010-11 Certified Hockey set has cards in pages, but anything that isn't a base card has a penny sleeve in addition to being in the page.
    2. 1990 Pro Set Football only has card/series with incomplete variants in pages. Cards where I have all the variants go into a box.

Other than that, I've had some ideas on how to display slabbed cards, but I have yet to go about finding an actual solution. Here is a picture of my binder shelf (in progress)

I have most of my current 13/14 sets in binders too.

My issue that I am having is determining what has easy access to look at and how to not split up my collection. For example, I currently have 13/14 Upper Deck Series 1&2 in a binder, but have removed the MacKinnon and Galchenyuk YG and currently have them in a one-touch. If I start the 14/15 Upper Deck set, I plan on moving these cards to a cardboard box and penny sleeve the YG... but then that means having the Mak and Galchenyuk in a seperate box because one-touch is too big.

I've been using these for around 10 years now since I first saw them at the LCS. They're a bit wonky when flipping multiple pages but if you're careful they work great!
