    Jersey TTM Postage?

I have a jersey I want to send TTM to attempt an autograph but it weighs just over 1lb. I've been under the impression that you can't send anything over like 13 ounces 1st class.. Someone told me you can still send it with first class stamps on the package as long as there is enough postage on there.

What do you guys do for jersey package postage when you send TTM?

    Per the USPS website:

    First-Class Mail
First-Class Mail® is a fast and affordable service for envelopes and packages weighing up to 13 oz. Delivery is in 2-3 business days. It’s perfect for personal correspondence, bills, and light merchandise.

If it weighs more than 13 ounces, it cannot go First Class, it needs to be another category, such as Express or Priority or whatever. However, you can use any stamp to get to the Priority Mail cost. As an example, let's say that Priority to mail your item is $4.90. You can buy a single $4.90 stamp direct from the post office, and stamp the package as Priority, and fill out the Priority Mail form and send it. Or, you could put 10 49 cent stamps on it, and then stamp it as Priority, and fill out the proper Priority Mail forms. Or 490 1 cent stamps. Any way you do it, it just has to equal the cost of the shipping total.
