Is there a way I can copy files from my original site? I need the pictures for my new site and they were all on my labtop that got stolen. I was in the Cpanel and can get to them in the file manager but haven't found a way to copy them to my local machine. Any help.

it was built with frontpage. I am using Dreamweaver now and when I was reading the help pages it said I could edit it even if it wasn't made with dreamweaver. I want to redesign the whole site but need to get the pictures and lists off the site I already have. Also does dreamweaver have buttons and such? or do I need to copy them from the site also

to get the images off the site just do a right click and save the image, and as far as the list go just do a copy paste
if that is all you need

personally i hate dreamweaver and the likes, i like notepad programming, but for people who can't write code they must resort to something like that, so as far as coding, if the old files are frontpage i would just rebuild it in dW

Dreamweaver is for the people that have no knowledge of what coding really is and cant remember a thing of it from each time they use it. They never learned it and found that this is the easy way out so they pay the money and cheat with the program.

The only reason I would use it is because of time. It saves time. It's easier.

Starting from scrath though, I would start with Notepad. I use Dreamweaver if I'm incorporating flash buttons or something like that. It's easier that way. But I definitely recommend that you research HTML and learn it first. It will help you in the long run.
