    Ebay Lots

These Lots of "random" cards off of ebay...

anybody ever done them? They always seem so tempting, but i'm always timid to try it in thinking i'm going to get scammed.

I would stay away. Most of them are junk. I've bought several in the past and gotten packs from sports that werent advertised, tons of sticker packs and packs that are crap. I usually get triples of junk base and multi sport. There are a few people on this site that sell lots and are pretty decent. I've just had no luck with ebay lots

I've actually done pretty well with them. I get the ones that are like $1 and I buy like 5 or 6 at a time. Usually I get 1-2 GU cards and a few inserts. It's not the best deal ever, but I still get them from time to time...just my 2 cents.

I've done a couple, you generally get your money's worth, but don't expect the Joe Montana RC or the Michael Vick AUTO that they boast about possibly getting.

Why do people always ask about these kind of E-Bay lots, when there's always plenty of good deals on SCF, from trustworthy sellers who tell you what you're getting up front? I just don't get it... it's like busting $100's in packs looking for that $20 Rookie or $25 G/U or $50 Auto which they could have bought outright for $7, $8, and $30- all 3 for less than 1/2 of what they blew on packs...

making lots seems like a good way to get rid of your junky base cards and worthless game-used...

ugh those ebay lots are junk, when i first got into buying cards from the internet it really didnt strike me as a big con.. and when i got the box of cards in there was like no joke at least 150 of the SAME card of some obscure hockey player ihadnt heard of then like 30 of the same of another card i didnt get 1 card out of it worth keeping. youre better off investing in something you know youre getting. but if selling, just throw a sizable stack of decent/good cards in your otherwise lower-end stuff then sell it as a "sports card collection" its what i do and usually get like $50-60 a pop which is pretty much about what its worth to a collector. just my $0.02
