Wouldn't work for us either. I don't have room for a skid of base cards in my condo's storage locker! :)

This year I have sold 5000 base cards (basically all my doubles lol) and got approx 300 for them all. Sold them mostly through kijiji locally. You can still get some $ for them if you have full sets.. worth going through them and maximizing profit.

I have tried that in the past and never really received any interest.

Have dropped them off at a local card shop where they can hand them out to kids, or set collectors who can seem to hit the base they need, but recently..... Garbage, which i hate to do but if no body wants them they can be recycled like all other cardboard.

Blasphemous! :)
I hate the thought of any cards being tossed BUT I wonder if we had a 90's burning if perhaps values would increase. :)

Hmmm I have many that I have yet to decide what do to with. Only about 90,000 or so... I was thinking about selling in team lots on Ebay. I have done that before.

If you are looking to give them away, try posting on the Set Building Forum or the Buy/Sell Forum. Offer them at a very low price per card or for the cost of shipping. There are still set builders in this hobby and you would help them out in completing their sets or as starter lots. At the same time you'd be sending the cards to collectors who would appreciate and benefit from your goodwill.
Speaking of which, an alternative is to drop off the cards at your local Goodwill. From what I've seen visiting there periodically, they bag or box the cards donated and sell them. Meanwhile the money raised goes for worthy causes.

I have sent a team bag along with ebay purchases in the past of jerseys, hats of the team jersey they bought. I have also filled the rest of the team bag with these if some one bought a auto or a patch too. I like the base cards of my team players but it seems rare that american shipping addys trade for them though. Also when there's a neighborhood garage sale I bring the boxes out and sell them then as well. Usually get rid of a few hundred or so then too.
