    ....but as long as you have some sober people with you, youre fine being drunk and wont get arrested anyway. So what is the point then?

    I agree 100%. I am 28 years old and have never had a drop of alcohol. I don't down on others for drinking, but don't have the slightest urge to drink in the least.

    Good for you, way smarter than I was in my 20s... but by 28 I was straightened out.

    Because the point of a sobriety checkpoint is to check for impaired drivers. Not for minor traffic infractions. What is so hard to understand? Its in the name!

    So next time someone gets pulled over for a tail light out the cops shouldn't check to see if they are high or drunk?

    The reason they were pulled over was for tail light and tail light only.

    I just don't understand the laziness of only checking for drunks at a DUI checkpoint.

    The reason they were pulled over is for a traffic infraction.

    Its not lazy, most of these checkpoints are busy.
