In 2002, current house majority whip Steve Scalise (republican) spoke at a defacto klan rally. When word of this broke the other day, he admitted to it with a non denial. I hope we can all agree the republican party needs to immediately remove him from being the #3 most powerful republican congressmen, and I hope others can join me in calling for him to resign congress all together. Sexist / Racists do not belong in congress.


EDIT: He did not admit to speaking at this exact rally (he said it's possible but couldn't recall) but admitted to speaking to "lots of organizations" in this time period. Considering the group is run by David Duke, former head of the KKK.. pretty hard to believe the non denial denial.






PS....let me say this so we can be clear... This is not a thread about Al Sharpton, "thugs", Religion, President Obama, myself, or anything else.. this is about what is in the title.....

Regardless of whether he has an "R" or a "D" next to his name, IF this is true, he should be forcibly removed from Congress.

Personally, I believe that it's time to start making STRICT rules when it comes to ALL politicians, and the penalty should be SEVERE.

He said he "does not recall" speaking at the exact event, but admits that he spoke to "many organizations" in that time period.. IE this is probably not the only one. Most people would remember speaking at a David Duke rally.. apparently republicans aren't aware of who he is? lol

Agreed. Robert Byrd (dem) and Strom Thurman (repub) should have been kicked out of congress 50+ years ago.. instead they were allowed to keep on serving.

has nothing to do with corruption.. they were both "dixiecrats" (southern white right wingers who grew up in the democratic party before civil rights)... it was just the culture back then. No excuse for letting them remain in congress until the 90's and 00's though.
