As a Thunder fan, I think we got the best out of this deal. Loved Reggie's heart and professionalism, but he was a combo guard and wasn't the best fit for the team's current needs; Dion is more of a true SG and should settle in nicely as a third option behind the you-know-whos.

Reggie hasn't been traded. OKC only gave up Lance Thomas.

Tanking for the #1 pick? It seems like a light haul for these 2 given what the Knicks rumor machine was putting up the past couple of seasons. Either they were wildly untrue rumors or the Knicks got hosed to get more expiring contracts in return.

Essentially blowing it up whilst keeping Melo. Amare should be gone soon. Cap space will be a plenty. With a high draft pick looking likely also. Quite a brilliant move. Got a feeling they'll sign both or either Goran Dragic and Tobias Harris.

EDIT: Looks as though the Knicks are trying to get Reggie Jackson from OKC after deals fell through. Also, add Paul Millsap and Greg Monroe to list of players they will chase in FA.

I wouldn't say Phil is tanking per se. I think everyone would want to get rid of J.R. Smith. ;)

Even happier that the Thunder negotiated a better deal and kept Reg. Love my team! They are in it to win it NOW.

At the very best, Phil will build a 50 win team, 50 won teams go nowhere in the finals.
At very worst, the Zen Master looks like a complete idiot.
