My first post
I have lurked for long enough, time to post something. I collected when I was kid and then determined it wasn't "cool" anymore in my early teens. I have 68-69-70-71-72 cards from those years. I had mostly baseball. Then I caught the bug again in 1989 and was one of the idiots in the Costco buying boxes and breaking them up. i ended up with 200,000 of those crap cards thinking I'd hit the gold mine but it was fun. I switched back to vintage about 1995 and have done mostly vintage since then. I have about 50k vintage now.
I buy when i have extra cash, some eBay, some other auctions and buy from my friend who owns Beverly Hills Baseball Card shop. i have all the Topps complete sets from 1958 to present (sans the 59' which I will buy this summer). I just picked up nice examples of Bowman 1955 Mantle, Banks, Kaline, and a few others and also picked up 1953 color Yogi Berra, Roy Campenella, and Gil Hodges..oh and a 1951 Bowman Yogi (only a 1 but i wanted it).
I look forward to starting to post up more.

Thanks for the welcome. I guess I will need to spend some time getting to know the site. I used some eBay links and started buying cards off eBay for the first time. Got some good deals but it is addictive, need to stop doing that. I still much prefer the brick and motar approach but the variety you can find on eBay is awesome.
Next big purchase is a 1959 complete set, that will get me updated from 1958 to present. The 52-53 feel like I could never afford them, but 54-55-56-57 could.
