I Dont Understand?

So there were 10+ Future Watch Redemptions from this years SP Authentic. The following ones I know are live:

Ryan Murphy
Connor Carrick
Girgensons
Grigorenko
Maatta
Mackinnon

These are not live for sure
Gallagher
Vatanen
Ristolainen
Tarasenko
Nieto

What I don't understand is why is it so hard to find the ones that are live? Other than Mackinnon the others are difficult to find live. Especially Girgensons, Grigorenko, and Carrick. I know that a lot of people redeemed these cards. Some have asked for replacements. These cards have been live for months but yet hard to find. Why is this?

I fully believe UD holds back a couple of Redmptions each year to make them hard to find. I have only seen a couple of Girgensons live. I know darn well more than a couple people redeemed it. I know darn well UD got more than a couple of those signed. It doesn't affect me at all. I got my Maatta but If I was trying to complete the set Id be a little upset.

Ya im curious as well first time ever collecting the set and find it funny that the redemptions of so-so players are going for a premium. I've heard they are SSP is this because of hold backs? Or becuse the player didnt sign all the cards? Its a bit confusing to be honest.

The redemptions go for high price because UD usually has 1-2 that are impossible to find each year once live. For Example.

05-06 Grossman and Barker
08-09 Sutter and Filatov and Josh Bailey
09-10 Wandell and Caputi
10-11 McCollum
11-12 Smith-Pelly
12-13 Goloubef, Dillon, Rielly Smith, and Cizikas

But This year Girgensons, Grigorenko, and Carrick have been live for a while but yet they are hard to find. Why? Im sure lots of people have these redemptions pending. Why are they not being sent out? I understand why the remaining guys remeptions are selling for big bucks because they could turn into one of the guys above but why are only a couple of Girgensons and Grigorenko being sent out? Surely they got more than a couple of them signed

Don't forget Rask in 07-08. Though that may have come down since.

Yep Rask is another one. Although he is relatively easy to find now once UD released them. At the time though he was also impossible.

Wish I had an answer for you on that one. It's a puzzle, for sure.

Because UD needs to inject the product with artificial value. Having no Sid / Ovechkin autos .... and I think 3 Gretzky autos in the entire poduct ..... they need to find value wherever they can ... weather it be temporary or not. ( And im sure its temporary until a good majority of the remaining product leaves their warehouse )

I personally have Girgensons and Grigorenko live and in hand as part of my PC. I have seen a Carrick on the bay but the asking price was ludicrous. Ristolainen is eluding me and it may be because Upper Deck has made sure to delay sending the cards. Or maybe Rasmus has not signed the cards yet.

Nice, I know they are out there but there are not many. I haven't seen many Girgensons. I was wondering if I was the only one who thought it is a small plan by UD in doing this. I would think there are many people who have these redemptions pending being that there are /999 of them.

I definitely agree that UD is withholding them. Your right it does leave some good temporary value. I love pulling FWA Redemptions from SPA for this reason. It happens every year.
