Help Identifying This NFL Hat

I was given this hat when I was a child and was told that it was relatively rare. I have no information about this hat after I did a Google search on "NFL Alumni Hat." I found one hit on the images section that called this a "

Vintage NFL Alumni Buckleback Hat." Anyone have any insight on the origins of this hat or possibly what the value of something like this would fetch?

I didn't know anything about the hat prior to doing a Google search but it appears to be from the 1980's and is valued at about whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I saw a blue one on eBay selling for $30. I hope that helps some...
