That list is too long. As was already mentioned, the list is subject to change.
I hope so...Chris Tierney, Andy Andreoff, Ryan Sproul, Brandon Kozun, Laurent Brossoit and Patrick Brown are questionable choices to me. As n7unleashed said, Gormley should be included as a Future Watch Auto.
The way I see it, a signed Future Watch should be for the top rookies each year. The players I mentioned above have yet to make a big enough impact in the NHL to warrant a signed Future Watch.
I also understand WHY some players don't get one. Maybe Upper Deck is nervous they will hold off signing theirs like Vladimir Tarasenko and Brendan Gallagher are doing.
When the players sign a contract, it should stipulate that they must sign cards by a certain time or it will breech the contract. I'm no expert, but I thought this would be standard business practice.
As I said, I am no expert. If I am wrong, can someone please explain to me how this particular type of contract works?

The list is 60 like always is it not?
For price of box you should be able to pick up about 20 fwa's if not more...
Maybe even 40..

Question:
Why does Upper Deck release a tentative Future Watch Auto list, but they don't release a tentative list of unsigned Future Watch cards?
I'm in the minority (and I fully realize this), but I want to know ALL the rookie cards in the set, not just the signed ones.
I collect rookie cards of top rookies each year and (again, I'm in the minority) it doesn't mean a roll of beans to me if it's signed or not. If it's a top player, I want it.
We complain when we know which ones are and are not signed anyway, so just post a list of rookies that will be in the set and surprise us with which ones are signed.
Thoughts?

When was the list for last year's SP authentic released?
For me, getting a tentative list early as opposed to waiting until for an official list is better than nothing.

I agree, but I am saying they shouldn't release a list of just the signed Future Watch.
Release a list of ALL the rookies in the set and surprise us as to which ones are signed.Last edited by Leafsman; 02-11-2015 at 12:25 PM.

That's a fair point. Maybe they are hedging a bit to give themselves room to include/exclude rookies? I don't know, just throwing things out there.
It would be awesome if we could vote for a player's signature in that wasn't listed.
