So Obama lied when he said his position on gay marriage "evolved"?
I mean Hellen Keller knew this right? I always chuckled when I say Axelrod on the campaign trail. Looked a lot like Hitler.

I'm disappointed that he apparently lied about his actual stance from the get go. It seems to me that since he thought this was an issue to be honest about him coming out about being for gay marriage wasn't to gain political favor. I am glad that he finally came out for gay marriage. Overall this sort of thing isn't all that rare when it comes to politicians trying to gain votes on certain topics. Wish it wasn't the case but I'm not sure how they'd get nominated without lining up with their parties.

Imagine that, a politician lying about a particular topic to get elected. I wonder which politician NEVER lied. Let's start a list.

I agree. the problem is Obama ran on a truckload of lies all while claiming he was different from the politicians we already had in Washington. This is just one more of those lies. Transparency, GITMO closing, no new taxes for those under $250k, bring home troops from Iraq in (8 weeks was it?), end the war in AFG, all bills getting 5 days public review before being signed, no income tax for seniors earning under $50k, ending no-bid government contracts over $25k, $60 billion bank to fund roads and bridges, allow imported medicines and prevent drug companies from blocking generic drugs, allow Medicare to negotiate for cheaper drugs, fully fund IDEA, create independent watchdog committee to investigate congressional ethics violations, limiting lobbyist, double funding for afterschool programs...the list goes on and on and on...
Quite simply, a presidential candidate can say ANYTHING to get elected and the idiots will not only vote him into office, they re-elect him 4 years later after an entire do-nothing term.

Are you guys telling me that a guy that has NOT lived up to all his liberal promises of 2008 including closing Gitmo also lied about his position on gays?
And here I thought he was the MOST die hard liberal EVER!!!
Ask any conservative he really IS the most liberal guy this planet has ever seen!
Lol @ you conservatives when you're exposed to the truth you just side step it.
I've been constantly saying what a LIAR and NON-liberal Obama really is...
Oh and BTW, when WE DO get gay marriage legal for ALL 50 states please remember it was due to the tireless work from many LIBERAL groups like LGBT that never backed down even when all the cards were against them, even when the majority of the country including Democrats were against them.
These liberals are the true heroes in my liberal book.
And I'll be more than happy when my gay brothers and sisters finally have the same rights I have to marry the person they truly love.
God bless Liberal and gay America.
And I truly mean that, no jokes.

So is it fair to say your not an Obama fan and you will be voting independent?Because obviously rep or dem is not going to support gay marriages for all states.

Yes, it's fair to say that.
And in 2016, I plan to vote for a REAL liberal (3rd party), the Democratic party can go to hell.

To be fair about the situation Obama's lies were on both sides of the political spectrum. He was trying to reach all of the single issue or limited issue voters. He took this to a level that Bill Clinton could not even have imagined.
It is pretty amazing how much the pendulum has swung on the country's sentiment on gay marriage. I would not have supported it 6 years ago and now I see it as liberation for people to love who they love.
