2007ish 24 Pack Mixed Basketball Box + 2 Autographs

This was a mixed 24 pack box from around 2007. It was marked down to $15 from $20 originally and claimed to have 2 free autographs.

I can't pass this kind of thing up because it feels so nostalgic plus I bought alot of these back in the day and knew what I was getting into.

Most of the packs are from 2006-07 Topps and not even full packs but the sections of the rack packs. Two of the packs are 1997 Panini sticker book packs which went straight into the trash after I looked through them for Jordans. So right there half the box is trash unless you hit Kobe or LeBron inserts. The rest are a decent mix of 2006-07 stuff with one 2005-06 Hoops pack and one 2000-01 Fleer Focus Hobby pack. The two free autographs are always late 90's Scoreboard college players you never heard of.

Here's the results from the break, my only hopes were to get at least one LeBron or Kobe insert and a numbered card. I'll only list the inserts/good base stuff.

I think I did very well, it was a blast to open and I got some PC cards, a good rookie and a nice surprise of a low numbered insert.

Yeah, not too bad for this type of break. I actually really liked the job Topps did with their 2006-07 set and put one together back in the day (without the rookie variations, which would have taken a little more time). I would have used the Panini stickers for decorative purposes.

Yeah I put together that set too, with the rookie variations and I even tried to get all of the Bird variations. I think I got 26 or 27 out of the 33 of them.

I bought so much 06-07 Topps when it came out that I was able to put together the Clutch City, Pride of the Program, Own the Game and the Larry Bird insert sets. I miss Topps basketball :(

Where did you get this at? K-Mart, Target, Wal-Mart and Toys R Us used to have some great variety boxes like this, but it looks like they don't have the bigger boxes anymore. Though my Target and Wal-Mart actually have legit stuff now. I think they have a full hobby box of Prestige at $200 which was crazy to stumble upon.

Meijer. They get in some old stuff every once in awhile. I like to think they found it stuck behind some pallets in the back room.

Ah, I don't have any of those over here in California. I would LOVE to find something like that though. My local K-Mart is pretty ghetto, I'll have to check them out.
