Question on the 72 Summit Card Set
Hey folks, the 72 summit series set from the 90s (these http://www.ebay.ca/itm/1991-72-Hocke...item4ae5660187 ), the autos in gold ink, were they actually inserted into the boxes? and curious HOW tough were the autos? If theres a box kicking around for 8-10$ is it worth a try?

From what I remember they were a tough pull. There is no COA on the back (someone pls correct me if I'm wrong) but the front of the auto'd cards have kind of a "swirly" texture. If ever picking up singles it's best to be careful you're not getting an IP. I can't remember how they were sold (wasn't it through The Bay, or something?), but if you can get your hands on a box for $8-$10 you can't really go wrong. Small risk for a potentially decent reward.

Yes they are pack-inserted autos. Pretty tough hit. My cousin found a couple boxes in her basement that she/parents had picked up for like $3 from The Bay. I ripped 'em happily and was pretty stoked to hit a Rod Seiling auto. Sold it for pretty good money.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...
