hey g get a stamping machine and make the card any number you want jersey number ,first number,or last number and put it on ebay as a 1 of 1,but on a serious note i have only seen this type of error 2 other times and both were on cards that were supposedly hand numbered ,i have a ken griffey jr from classics numbered out of 10,000 that has a blank space where the number should be but i really don,t know what type of value to put on an error like that, hope someone is able to give you more information than i was but it is still a nice looking card take care spuds

My opinion on error cards is that there is no additional value on it unless the card has a corrected version. If the entire print run has the same error, then there is nothing special about it other than the mistake. If a corrected version comes out, THEN, that would make the error card more unique and therefore more desirable. My $0.02.

In your case, I would think that the stamper just missed this one or that all his #d cards were not passed through. It was more of an omission than an error. I would venture to guess that there is no corrected version. If some or all of the other 1249 #'d cards had a numbered stamped, then I would hold onto it. The only way to find out is check Ebay listings and see what's out there.
