As a Latin-American I feel I can speak out on what Raven said.
#1 Unlike whites and Blacks, the overwhelming majority of Latins are a mixed race, usually white and "indian", but also black and "indian".
This is why Latins literally come in every imaginable color, from very white to very black....most of them are in the middle though, usually a tan color.
#2 I very much agree with Raven, Latins are indeed racist, just like every other race, however, just like every other race, it is more predominant with the older folks.
#3 Probably more sad is that within the Latin community there is racism and xenophobia with EACH OTHER!
One thing I never do around other Latins is tell them my origin country (where my parents were born), because some of them have bad blood.
And some of them take offense when a young Latin says he is "American".....this again is predominant with older folks.
And yes, I have seen white Latins discriminate against tan and black Latins.... It is truly disgraceful.Last edited by JustAlex; 03-17-2015 at 08:54 PM.

Secret? Maybe to fools who know nobody and only get their world views from the TV or something. Lots of people hate other people. You have tensions inside of Asians on where they are from. Same with Hispanics. Black people from Africa and the Caribbean hate on black Americans. Blacks and Asians have animosity among one another in some places. People from India have a strong dislike for people with black skin or are Muslim from my experience. Not saying everyone does but if you travel enough or encounter enough people this really shouldn't be a surprise.Selling all my cards here updated as of May------------> Hidden Content

THere is tension everywhere. It is only news worthy when it is white on black per say or insulting the black culture.

It should be the same. I get it's easier to be more open when writing versus speaking for me at least at time, but why would you say something online that you wouldn't say to the person if you were face to face having the same discussion. I get that there can be a disconnect when you are just typing online, but the words can be just as impactful whether you're face to face or online, even if you are conversing with someone you've never met in person.
