    More Customs to Show

It's been a while since I had the pleasure of designing and building a couple of baseball customs. First off is a cut autograph of Satchel Paige I did for a friend. He wanted a clean classy look while letting me run with most of the design. I'm very happy to see the cut take on a life of it's own rather than sitting in the JSA/BGS slab it was freed from. The card has a hint more of a blue tone which my photos didn't pick up well.

The next is a Mark Fidrych tribute style booklet. The collector knew exactly what he wanted so I had great direction for the booklet. Included with the autograph cut is an actual ticket to Mark's 13th win over Gaylord Perry in 1976. Again so much fun to be a part of these cards and create a special keepsake for the collectors.

I had a very nice member on another site contact me about desiging a building a card for his cut signature. Due to the language it was written in, a new style booklet had to be created. The booklet sized card would house a very rare historical cut signature of Hideki Tojo, Prime Minister of Japan during the early 40's. The final design was a collaboration between the collector and myself. I must say it was one of the most unique signatures I have worked with to date. It was a pleasure as well as a learning experience working this project and I would like to thank to collector for allowing me to be part of it.

I wanted to show my latest collaboration with illustration artist Jeff Abar. I have always had a little something for Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends since watching the cartoon as kid in the 80's. He was kind enough to be the first to test out my take on a triple panel sketch card. The card was built from scratch and is made to model the UD Marvel Premier panels. Jeff did an incredible job illustrating the panel sketch card. I would recommend him for anyone seeking some fantastic art work. Communication was awesome and turn around time was less than 2 weeks. I plan on getting a few more artists to illustrate these panels with thier take on my childhood trio.

Here's some before and after pics. As always the art never looks quite as good as when it's in your hands. I also used a really nice hardball34 stock display case to display it in.

    After,
