14-15 Upper Deck Products Pricing Question
Could someone explain to me why 14-15 UD Hockey products tend to not decrease in price very much. I cannot get any cases for a reasonable price from my wholesaler. I know some of these sets offer very little value compared to what you pay for a box. What gives? Why are prices not dropping more with a weak RC class and lots of product......

Why would they be dropping? They just came out. Its this years rookie class the hottest product newest cards of the year. Everyone is buying 14-15. The rookie class wont affect the prices at all until next year.

Is this a serious question? Production on all products this year is lower than last year's extravaganza and obviously they're still moving well enough to justify keeping them at current prices. It's not Target, Upper Deck's not going out of business and doesn't need to blow out the stock.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

No one is really buying it and it's definitely not hot.
The smarter stores ordered a lot less so distributors can sit on it.
UD said they sold out of SPX.....so distributors have most of it...this is a great chance to punish the distributors...let them take a big loss
Don't think there's that many stupid people in the world to buy up all this junk... $150 boxes to get $2 rookies...There's probably no cards in the set worth the price of the box...lol
All the early stuff. .ultra mvp opc is already discounted...The rest will soon to follow...
14-15 is actually worse than 12-13 value wise...

Maybe not as much as 12-13 but close, our dollar is so low right now, they're no way we can make money on a box or case, I bought 4 boxes of artifacts this year, the best card out of the 4 boxes sold for 18$, bought 2 boxes of series 1 and it was similar, not going to buy a lot this year, sp game used 150$, spx 140, Ice an Sp authentic will be similar, that's just too much money.

Same reason an iPad Air 2 sells for more than an iPad Air 1, buddy, it's current and it's what people want.

Please tell me when product has ever been marked down, within the season it was release. In hockey, at least, I can't recall it happening, ever.
Some of these releases will drop down the road, but don't expect by much.

Almost every 13-14 product was marked down within the season...Spa was down to $79 in a couple months....select/prizm was in half...
Cup was already discounted a month after ...
14-15 artifacts is $78 now...same as the 13-14. .
But what you'll notice is prices going up for 13-14 products as it's drying up....prime, dominion, nt, series 1...up in price.

cards don't work like that....it's all hype and rookie class...
So are 2005-06 boxes cheap...that's like the original iPhone. .
I pads have use....cards don't. ..so a bad comparison.
