    Duclair question

    Hey all,

Wondering if you can help me with an Anthony Duclair question.

Basically, will he be included in the rest of this season's UD sets as a Coyote or as a Ranger?

I remember Christian Thomas changing from a Ranger to a Hab at some point in the hockey card season last year and wonder if the same will happen with Duclair.

Any help with historical knowledge on this type of thing is a great help.

    Thanks!

Difficult to say for sure - pretty much everything that's left in UD's product lineup at this point is hard-signed for the rookies. So if Duclair signed everything prior to the trade, it may be tough to get him to sign a couple thousand cards again.

Also, he'll likely stay in the QMJHL this season, meaning no chance to even appear in a Coyotes jersey.

As a Rangers collector, I have been thinking about this too. I agree with both of the previous posts. There is no reason for Phoenix to play him this season, so there will be no pictures of him in a Coyotes jersey. The only thing I could see happening is cards with a Rangers jersey and a Coyotes Logo (or a now with Coyotes note), but this would depend on whether the cards are already hard signed (he does have a lot of auto redemptions already) and/or already made. Christian Thomas was traded a lot earlier in the season, which made it easier to transition from Rangers to Habs rookie cards.

No game as a Coyote, means no picture as a Coyote, means his cards will have to show him as a Ranger. I would expect there's a decent chance of a Coyotes logo showing up though.

Just thought I'd heard that he'd have a Coyotes YG in SPA so I wondered if all his cards would switch over, but thanks for the insight!
