So Im doing a little card shopping on ebay and I see 2 of the same exact card Im looking for... Here's the catch one is a PSA 10 and the other is a BGS 9.5...But the BGS 9.5 is $10.00 more expensive...I have no problem laying out the extra cash but what I wanna know is whats the difference in the grading systems and does one bring a higher value then the other? Psa 10 or BGS 9.5?? please explain...thanx

BGS 9.5 is lower in population...that would explain the dollar difference.I only use PSA...I feel comfortable with it seeing it is the most widely used.My experience and what others have told me is vintage PSA's are more popular than BGS vintage. You can't go wrong with either though, but the like I said, the price difference is more than likely the scarcety of the card.Check Beckett and PSA sites for population. That will clearly explain why its different. Hope this helps

I really know nothing about graded cards but the 9.5 probably costs more because it is tougher to get than a PSA 10. Most of the time a BGS 9.5 is harder to get than a PSA 10. PSA set registry collectors cause PSA prices to go crazy especially 10s when they are really really hard to get. That's what I know.
