First Attempt
In 2010 I tried my hand at custom cards for TTM, I wasn't happy with them but I was scared of GIMP.

This year I decided to try to go a little more all in, and as the 1987 Topps was the first set I ever really collected, so I opted to base my customs for this year off of that set.

Looks good!
Off the "eye-test," though, is it the right proportion? It looks too tall/not wide enough. If you're using PSP, you can manually set the dimensions in the right inches: 3.5x2.5.

I'm using GIMP. But these are designed for 3x5 Index Cards, because that's what 90% of my collection is currently.
Is there a company who sells sheets of 3.5 x 2.5 perfed cardstock?

So I bought a cut autograph collection of stage actors from the late 1890s early 1900s awhile ago. I found a photo of one of the actors, colorized it and set up a cut card to display the cut on. Tomorrow I'll print and trim the front, but I thought I should show the work in progress. Again, this is going to be at 3x5 IC size

I like the 1987 Topps design on the reverse.

That was a pain with my set up, I'll be honest.
The woodgrain isn't quite right on the front, but I'm still trying to figure out how to use the software.
