As with all cards, it is only worth what someone is willing to give you for it (regardless of what Beckett says). So in this case, I would say it is "worth" no more than $150.

At the last Toronto Expo, I found an Olie Kolzig "L" letter card (cant remember what set). My wife is probably the biggest Olie Kolzig fan out there. We have three GU jerseys on our walls, GU stick, GU blocker/pad, game-model helmet, even a GU water bottle, and about 1,000 different cards! I wanted the card to use in a custom nameplate I am making for her. I offered the guy either $100 cash or my Canadiens 4-rookie auto'd SOTT (#/10) card. He said no because it was "worth" at least $200. We paid less than $1K for one of those GU jerseys, so I was not going to pay $200 for one of the five letters off a jersey. I suspect he will go to his grave wondering why that card is still in his box...

Then when his kid puts it up on EBay, I'll get it for $50.
