    Autograph pen question

    I have not gotten many baseballs signed but know I should have them use pen. What kind of pen is best? Will not wear after time? Thanks guys!

    Blue ballpoint. I use bic as ive seen older autographs that are still blue and bic has been around long enough to know they last. There are others, but I trust bic.

    Great thank you. Usually don't go to signings IP. Mainly just TTM. So if I bring my own pen will they use it or do they use their own stuff to speed it up?

    Usually if you're paying for an autograph IP at a show or appearance they will use whatever pen you want and sign where/how you ask them to.

    Some guys are awesome about this and really take care that it comes out how you want it (Cal Ripken Jr and Lawrence Taylor come to mind).

    Others can be less pleasant. I saw Pete Rose recently at a show. He refused to sign a guy's beautiful authentic jersey with a red sharpie. The guy had paid for the autograph but Rose refused to use the guy's pen. Pete grabbed the jersey and signed it with the blue sharpie he already had in his hand. The guy was pissed.
