    Do You Leave eBay Feedback?

Do you guys leave feedback for the auctions where you are the buyer or seller? I've noticed that when I am the seller, buyers leave me feedback about 50% of the time, and I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong, or if a lot of buyers just don't leave feedback.

I personally leave feedback for all my auctions (as buyer or seller). I want eBay to work, and feedback is the best way for it to work.

    How about you guys?

When I am selling an item I usually leave feedback upon payment. Sometimes I wait just to make sure that the buyer is happy with their item and that I do not have to issue a refund or something.

I recently left some guy a NEUTRAL feedback because it took him 3 weeks just to ship the items I paid for 3 days after the auction.

Not to mention I paid $3.50 S/H only to get a white envelope and a single stamp.

This guy leaves me a NEGATIVE saying "I shipped them how I could. Sorry I shipped them".

It wasn't the fact that they were in a cheap envelope. If he had shipped sooner even with that envelope he would have received Positive Feedback.

So now I have a NEGATIVE feedback on my record for an item I paid for 3 days after the auction via Paypal. and now he is offering to withdraw the feedback, which means I would have to withdraw mine which I think is BS.

Sorry for the long read, but it just happened within the past few days and I am still ticked about it.

Oh yeah, when I am buying an item I leave feedback as soon as I receive the item, even if I have not received feedback yet.

    Thanks
    Mike

Mike -- It seems like our feedback leaving habits are similiar. As for that jerk who left you negative feedback, well.... he's a JERK. I mean, retaliatory feedback when one party is clearly in the wrong is one thing, but leaving a NEGATIVE in response to a Neutral? That's just plain evil.

Is there some way you can complain to eBay about this? He's clearly abusing the feedback forum.

Who is this joker of a seller so we don't buy from him?

I only buy on Ebay and always pay with paypal. So if the seller doesn't leave me feedback then I don't leave them any. It drives me nuts, but what can you do?

    So I voted sometimes.

As a buyer, I leave feedback as soon as I receive the item wether the seller left me one akready or not...

As a seller, I leave feedback as soon as the buyer has receied his/her item (It's MUCH easier to deal with someone that hasn't received a feedback from you, they think about it twice vefore leaving you a negative because the item hasn't arrived after 5 days from closing)...

I don't leave neutral or negative as a buyer, I just make sure I don't buy from that person/company again...

As a seller well... If I really have to I will but I don't go out of my way to leave negative or neutral feedbacks...

I dont understand why people withhold feedback.I pay for something as soon as I win it and dont get feedback untill Days later or when I leave feedback or get the Item.If I'm the seller I leave feedback as soon as I recieve payment. Why do people do this?If I have paid isnt my part done?Do they plan on not leaving feedback or leaving me negative, and if so WHY?Just wondering what the reasoning is behind it.

I've only been a buyer and have left feedback 99% of the time...the one time I did not was when I received coins that were not very good...I did not do my homework and read his feedback BEFORE I purchased the item and there was enough there that would have made me think twice...I emailed him and requested that he as the seller should leave feedback first (I paid within minutes of the auction closing with Paypal) he never did so neither did I, did not want him to come after me for leaving neg. feedback...the reality...feedback can make or break you. Neg. feedback on matter what the reason is the kiss of death on Ebay. I'd rather not leave neg if I think he/she will 'get even'
