Come on, you guys, I wanna hear a story about some knock-down, drag-out affair here!
Not a card but I always love sharing this tale....

So this is a pair of stinky game used gloves. As you can see the name is spelled differently on one of them. You can also see that they're signed. I originally got the gloves from habsmtl09 who attended one of the team's end of season equipment sales. Pat's a great guy. After I moved back to Kelowna, I knew it would only be a matter of time until I'd run into Josh--he always does an autograph signing or two in the off-season here. Sure enough there was one scheduled and I knew this would be a great conversation piece. We chatted a bit, I pulled out the gloves and he laughed right away. He says to me, "Had to give it to Pierre [Gervais, the team's equipment manager] pretty good on that one. I've been here how many years?" So yeah he signed them both and they still stink up my place to this day.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

In May of 2014 I purchased a 01-02 Goalie Gear Arturs Irbe card thinking that I was as close as I was going to get as far as the total set was concerned. There were three cards that were short printed to 20 in the set, the Roy which I owned and the Hasek and Cujo which I had not seen in years! Since the set was 12 years old at the time I assumed I would be as close as I would ever be. I posted here on the boards with the title "Probably as Close as I will get to Completing this BTP Subset" and left it at that. A few days passed and I received a message from a member of one of the board named Dan (tmlfan67). I had never dealt with him with regards to a trade let alone have him contact me. His message was that he had not only the Hasek in his posession but the Cujo was a PC card for him! He was willing to give both of them up to me to complete my set! I was quite excited and willing to make a deal immediately! For me it was one of the first times anyone had given up a PC item to complete my set! To this day I am still suprised I have completed this tuff set! Thanks again Dan!!!!!

Just as an addition here is the complete set in my binders! All 30 Goalie Gear cards most /90 but 3 out of /20!

Ok last week and here is my entry for this week with the story
Back in 2010-11 season of collecting I was able to help a fellow collector with a shipping issue he was having
He wanted to purchase a case or 09-10 UD Champs but the seller was not able to ship to him in Sweden.
he was looking for someone to help out and I was only to glad to help a collector with his collecting. I was able to purchase the case for him and he had me open it and he only wanted the cards he needed for his master set to be shipped to him and I was able to keep the rest of the cards, which was a lot of good stuff and it allowed me to build and finish my 09-10 UD champs threads set
I sent his package to him in Sweden and thanked him for the extra's I was allowed to keep and he was thankful for me in helping get the cards to him in Sweden, which he rec'd in about 3 weeks.
so time went on and about 2 months later I rec'd a package in the mail and it was from this collector. He was just sending me a thank you and wanted to show me show card love and sent me some penguins I collect, so inside the package was a malkin gu and a Crosby insert /100 which was cool but when I looked in the package closely there was a card in between the cards and out came this beauty

I was floored, and he said he knew who much I collected Crosby and wanted this card to go to a great home.
I still have it in my PC and its will always be with me.
