    1994-95 Score (Platinum) Help

Okay, quick question to anyone who might remember the 90s better than me....

1994-95 Score. You pulled one Gold Line per pack. I'm not sure exactly how the redemption program worked, but (basically) you sent in a team set of Gold Cards, and they'd send you back your Gold Cards but "punched" and they also set you a Platinum version of the team set. Team sets came in a Pinnacle Case, and a certificate of authenticity: They were limited to 1994 (or was it 1995?) copies.

My understanding is that the Canadian & American WJC cards were not made as Platinums, and neither were the Team Checklists. Checklists, I guess it makes sense, since the cards were double sided.

However, I recently came across this card (see both sides):

Seems it does exist, but I can't find any info anywhere that tells me where this would have come from. Anyone want to clue me in?

Actually the Platinum CL was part of what you got redeemed so they exist for all the teams.

    Were they though?

I ask because I have a complete set of the Platinums, built by using team sets. Use this eBay listing as an example:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/1994-95-SCOR...37597632&rt=nc

Flyers team set, 9 cards. The 9 cards are listed in the description. It's all players, no checklist.

Of course this particular listing, or any like it, could be missing a card. Maybe seller not including everything? (Maybe they don't have everything) but over the years I have picked up all 26 team sets. All came in the Pinnacle case, and all had the COA with them. I never once saw a checklist card.

Clearly they exist (my scan proves that) but I don't think they (normally) came with the the team set. Or maybe they'd mail you back a team set... with or without the checklist, depending if you included it or not?

And just to add to that....

    Looking at the Beckett Marketplace:

Between either Burbank or CentreIce Collectibles, I could buy any card from 1-though-200 right now. The list starts again at 216... but the 15 cards in between were WJC cards, and they were not made (though I have heard they were actually made too, but weren't available via mail-in. A few sets were back doored, and that was about it).

From 216, I can get any card up until #262. That's the last player card in the set. Checklists are card #s 263-275, and none are available.

It wouldn't be unlikely for a few of those CL cards to be sold out (i.e. not available) but with multiple copies of every other card available.... if the checklists were part of the regular team sets, I would expect that with that high volume of singles, some checklists would be there.
