Ottawa Senators owner Eugene Melnyk urgently needs a liver transplant and the team is appealing to the public for help in finding a donor.
The Senators say Melnyk has battled major health issues since January and was admitted to hospital three weeks ago.
"He has undergone a comprehensive medical assessment and it has been determined that Mr. Melnyk is in urgent need of a liver transplant," the team's press release said.
