I didn't get to see the game from halfway into the second period so I can't comment on that part of the game, but from what I did see there was alot more open ice for the Rangers than in the Capitals series.

Yep definitely more open than the Caps series, might be tighter in the upcoming games but I liked what I saw from our offense. Hoping Nash can break through, he had a few good looks today, especially when he was able to go right to the net. Just gotta keep finding ways to get past Bishop's huge frame lol

Johnson sniping again! Too early to stay 2-1 for another game...

The Lightning really took it to the Rangers last night, and showed their speed.

And that Tyler Johnson character is pretty good

Amazing Johnson went undrafted, even at 5'8", not like this is basketball lol Not too many D-man go under 6"2" so he would be difficult for them to hit, especially with that speed. If he keeps this pace going he could surpass Reggie Leetch record of 19 goals, if they make the finals.

I think tonight's game will be the first one of this series where both teams come out prepared to play, I usually don't go out on a limb like this but I feel whoever wins tonight's game wins the series.

So let it be said, Rangers lose tonight it's over.

If anyone cares, here is my take on the series. Rangers look tired, especially Henrik....I think that Caps series took more out of them then anyone cares to admit. While I think the Triplets line is pretty amazing, I feel like the Rangers are making them look that much better by playing terrible defense. The Rangers look slow compared to the regular season and the big guys are not getting it done. My biggest gripe is with Nash......I know, I know, but it can't be said enough, a guy that score 42 in the regular season is counted on to score in the playoffs. Two years in a row means this type of play is a pattern. St. Louis, what do you really expect, he is 40 years old and just doesn't have the stamina he once had. From a defensive standpoint, I haven't seen the Rangers look this bad all season. They are not communicating and playing way too wide open. The team is uncharacteristically taking bad penalties and continue to struggle on the PP when it counts. Last but not least, anyone who thinks Henrik should be sat for Talbot needs to have their head examined. Lundqvist has been the rock of this team since 2006, yes he has had two back-to-back clunkers, but no one rebounds like the King. Mark my words, he will not be the reason the Rangers lose tonight, should that happen.

The Lightning are doing it all with speed gaining the zone and getting to the puck first in the offensive zone. I won't say much about Bishop and the defense as I think they are playing equally as bad as the Rangers. I do really enjoy Hedman's play, would love to see him in a Ranger uniform some day. What can be said about Johnson, simply amazing what this kid is doing. Also never realized what a tough brand of game Stamkos plays, that hit on Kevin Hayes made my teeth rattle!

Anyway, no excuses, the Rangers need to turn it around in hurry or it will be a long summer for them and their fans (me included). If I had to guess the Rangers play a bit better tonight and find a way to win an ugly game.
