Authentic jersey patch?
I just don't know how those multi color "authentic" jerseys patches could be the real thing when the color is obviously printed on and not sewn on like all the authentic full sized jerseys I own are. I have both kinds of jerseys and I can't find any one of the authentic ones with a printed on stripe. I own a bunch of cards that have both stitched on fabric and what looks like the replica jersey printed on stripes. Any thoughts on this?

the card companies are ripping us off is what I would think. I always wondered just how anyone could actually prove these cards are GU`d/Authentic.

I really dislike when this topic comes around, because it dismembers my "Believing" of that, that the cards really are authentic.
Do I believe they are? No. But I try to.

I really believe they are real. I think that the companies have too much to lose if they were to ever get caught cheating. It would come out eventually. All it would take is one disgruntled employee or something like that. I think that fear of the market finding out keeps the market honest. I think that the dishonesty comes into play when you see these "unbelievable" patches on eBay that someone has doctored the cards.

I'm on the fence about it. It just seems that the evidence proves they cannot be real. I know the players do not wear the replica jerseys during games and probably never for that matter. The authentic jerseys are all sewn on everything. There are no printed on parts. I hate to be a spoiler especially since I enjoy collecting them myself, but I think I will try to stick with what I can tell are actually stitched on patches from now on.

i will only buy "stiched" patches....for one, they are nicer, and 2, duke is right...authentic jsys dont have any printed pieces....the stuff that they were in practices, rookies where at the premieres, etc are all replica jsys...i always stay away from the printed 3 color jsys....just my opinion

Doesn't really bother me. If they're all fake...they're all fake. I just have fun trying to collect cards that i like of players that i like. Thats the point of collecting. Sure its nice to have a player worn jersey... I doubt that they are all used in Regular Season games. Because those cost a lot of money to purchase, and they wouldn't make much of a profit. They're probably practice jerseys or something.
I think they should make Turf cards. That would be a an idea.

Honestly does it even make a difference??Think about it a sec. Even if the cards that are graded are not that grade it all workd the same..Ok case in point. Say a card is graded PSA 9 & IS REALLY A 8. Is it going to matter to either A. THE OWNER or B.THE BUYER? NO Because as long as the grade is 9 it will be handled as a 9. Weather it was a real 8 or even 7/ So same with G/Used. As long as it says it both buyer & seller will treat it as such.. So just worry more about dealing & making good trades then if we got a piece of the pants off the ™™™ of William FRIDGE Perry.. :new_all_c
